Overview: Work with Loblaw Companies and the franchisee community to establish regulatory compliance reporting protocols. Work with franchise operations and other stakeholders to communicate standards to the franchise store network.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Relevant academic background related to property/facility maintenance management in the industry.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Excel/ Word) and ability to learn new programs.
  • Detail-oriented; strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Extensive travel is required in the regions; a valid driver's license is required.
  • Work under pressure in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and operation of all refrigeration equipment
  • Preventive maintenance of all equipment
  • Maintain a work order-driven maintenance program to ensure equipment and repairs are performed and followed up on effectively.
  • Recommend procedures and programs to improve operations and equipment utilization.
  • Communicate and work on a daily basis with subcontractors.
  • Ensure all colleagues comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Thoroughly investigate all accidents and safety violations and report them in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in health and safety initiatives, including but not limited to, conducting workplace inspections, observing employee safety, conducting incident investigations, correcting unsafe acts or conditions, appraising employee health and safety performance, and participating in health and safety training.
  • Perform management responsibilities in accordance with company policies, collective agreements, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems (with the assistance of their superior, where applicable).
  • Lead the maintenance team in the performance of assigned work to achieve prescribed objectives.
  • Facilitate and execute special projects as needed.
