About The Position

SCHEELS is a sporting goods retailer focused on providing customers with a strong selection of sports brands, special attractions, and customer service. The company provides product and business training, mentorship, and professional development to help associates become experts in serving customers. The Fuzziwigs Candy Associate prepares candy and fudge for sale and may perform functions across Ginna’s Café and Fuzziwig’s Candy Shop, including deli, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, and other duties assigned by managers and supervisors. The role follows food-safety and product-handling procedures, supports training, manages cash-control practices, and maintains clean and orderly work areas. Compensation starts at $16 per hour. The position may require varied scheduled hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

High school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push or pull, lift, talk, and hear, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform medium work: exert 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.

Responsibilities

Prepare candy and fudge products for sale to customers.
Perform assigned Ginna’s Café and Fuzziwig’s Candy Shop functions, potentially including deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, and fudge duties.
Follow food-safety guidelines established by state and local ordinances.
Receive and store products according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
Assist in training new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists, and Standard Operating Guidelines.
Follow cash-control and till-management procedures in accordance with SCHEELS Cashier Guidelines.
Manage and support side work, daily and detail cleaning schedules, and opening and closing procedures.
Maintain working knowledge of café recipes and prepared foods.
Keep personal workspaces and surrounding areas orderly and exceptionally clean.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, treat others respectfully, and follow SCHEELS policies and procedures.
Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients.
Work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Follow safety procedures and perform duties in a way that minimizes injury risk.
