About The Position

The Management Development Program is a hands-on, accelerated path that teaches new graduates how to run a business end to end. It provides practical experience, strong mentorship, competitive compensation, full benefits, and profit sharing, all while preparing participants to lead their own operation. The program is designed for individuals excited by supply chain, sales, business development, and entrepreneurship, offering a chance to build a real career from the ground up. Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada for training, with relocation assistance provided. Opportunities are available across the country.

Requirements

  • Recent university or college graduates (all disciplines welcome)
  • Positive attitude, results-driven mindset, and a desire to learn
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Interest in sales and business development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through a structured, four-phase program designed to give full visibility into how a successful business operates — from supply chain and operations to sales, leadership, and strategy.
  • Own projects, manage accounts, build customer relationships, and make real business decisions, with the guidance of experienced leaders.
  • Gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and develop product knowledge.
  • Engage in customer service and counter sales.
  • Learn about pricing, credit, financial statements, and logistics.
  • Understand how products move from supplier to customer.
  • Build strong customer and vendor relationships.
  • Manage larger projects and complex orders.
  • Read blueprints and develop material quotes.
  • Deliver high-impact, solutions-focused service.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and grow key accounts.
  • Expand market presence and customer partnerships.
  • Learn proactive, strategic selling at a high level.
  • Lead and mentor a team.
  • Set strategy, vision, and performance goals.
  • Manage operations, profitability, and people.
  • Transition from trainee to business leader.
  • Grow sales, profitability, and market share in a Profit Centre Manager role.
  • Hire, train, coach, and lead a high-performing team.
  • Analyze financials and make strategic decisions.
