About The Position

The Product Technician Level 2 completes minor repairs to case goods, upholstery, and leather furniture, including damage incurred during handling or transit. The Warehouse Technician primarily repairs these furniture types and may occasionally travel to customers’ homes to assist with warranty issues, manufacturer defects, or damaged furniture, then report findings to HomeStore. The role includes assessing damage and determining efficient repair approaches, completing repairs effectively and promptly according to Ashley Store SOPs, and maintaining a clean, organized, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Repair all product types with little guidance, including entry-level repairs that require additional skills.
• Perform minor surface repairs on case pieces and tables.
• Perform solid-color paper and side refinishes.
• Repair small corner damage that requires rebuilding.
• Use a general understanding of spray booth setup and operation.
• Perform advanced replacement-part repairs.
• Communicate maintenance needs for tools, parts, and hardware, and keep the repair area clean.
• Help inspect damaged products and determine whether they can be repaired to like-new condition.
• Work with warehouse personnel on minor product touch-up techniques during inspections.
• Document and follow up on recurring product damage.
• Assist other technicians.
• Accurately report situations when repairs cannot be completed.
• Assess damage and determine the most efficient repair approach.
• Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
• Demonstrate the company’s Core and Growth Values while performing job functions.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Use all products in the department safely.
• Occasionally travel to customers’ homes to assist with warranty issues, manufacturer defects, or damaged furniture and report findings to HomeStore.
