About The Position

Rooms To Go Furniture Service Technicians visit customers’ homes to evaluate and repair furniture and other merchandise purchased from Rooms To Go, including leather, upholstery, and case goods. Technicians help customers determine replacement items when needed and identify efficient solutions to repair or replace merchandise. Rooms To Go provides a company vehicle, gas, supplies, and paid training. Unlike many service technicians who work as independent contractors, Rooms To Go technicians are associates/employees, with job-related expenses covered by the company.

The work schedule alternates between Monday through Friday and Tuesday through Saturday. The position includes field visits to customer homes and requires a clean driving record. Prior experience in wood, leather, and upholstery repair, as well as basic computer skills, is not required but may increase starting salary.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ homes to evaluate and repair furniture and other Rooms To Go merchandise, including leather, upholstery, and case goods.
• Assist customers with replacement items for repairing or replacing furniture.
• Provide efficient solutions to repair or replace Rooms To Go merchandise in customers’ homes.
