About The Position

The Furniture Installer installs office furniture at customer locations by loading and unloading trucks, placing furniture, and installing it according to floor plan specifications. The role requires working efficiently and accurately so installations are completed on time and projects are successful. Installers support the installation team and may work with furniture, electrical components, and tools at customer sites.

Requirements

High school degree or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some knowledge of tools, electronics or electrical work, furniture assembly, and carpentry.

Nice To Haves

Construction or mechanical experience.
Experience reading floor plans.

Responsibilities

Pull products from the Storey Kenworthy warehouse.
Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment or by hand at dock and street levels, and carry products up and down stairs when elevators are unavailable.
Offload products, identify product lines, stage products for installation, and clear away debris.
Assemble, align, and level systems furniture; install electrical components and verify they are operational; install and adjust casegoods and seating; and disassemble, move, and reassemble systems products.
Review floor plans before and during installations to understand, recognize, and measure critical dimensions.
Use, maintain, and follow safety requirements for hand, power, and mechanical tools.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of job sites during and after installation.
Disassemble, remove, and dispose of old furniture at the customer’s request.
Attend team meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
