Funeral Director (West Coast) — Family Care & Sales

Earth•Los Angeles, CA
•$90,000 - $100,000•Remote

About The Position

Earth is hiring a licensed Funeral Director for a remote, quota-carrying sales role serving West Coast families during afternoon and evening hours. The role helps families decide whether Earth’s soil transformation service is right for end-of-life arrangements, whether they are planning ahead or have an immediate or imminent need. The position involves responding quickly to inquiries, listening compassionately, explaining the process and costs, and guiding families through an informed decision. It is a high-volume role, with an expected 60–100+ family calls per day and clear monthly targets. The Funeral Director manages the sales process from discovery and education through proposal, objection handling, and enrollment, without upselling. They complete contracts, payment or funding setup, and state-specific disclosures; help families arrange pre-need plans through funeral insurance once licensed; and maintain accurate records and follow-up in HubSpot. The role requires compliance with company policies and applicable insurance, federal, and state regulations, and may involve obtaining additional state licenses as Earth expands. This position does not involve removals, embalming, preparation, viewings, or service direction, and the license is not used to practice funeral directing. The role is intended for someone who wants to guide families through arrangement decisions in a family-care and sales setting rather than perform hands-on funeral home work. Calls are reviewed and coaching is regular; the employee is also encouraged to share effective approaches and evidence with the team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific. Holiday coverage is shared across the team, and occasional weekend coverage may be expected as the West Coast team grows. The role is remote and requires a reliable, confidential home work setup. Initial training and ramp-up take place over 90 days, progressing from training and call shadowing to independently handling inbound calls and a full queue.

  • Participate in call reviews, feedback sessions, training, and coaching; share effective approaches and supporting results with the team.
