About The Position

Alan is hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer for its Agentic Platform area. The engineering team builds infrastructure, interfaces, and applications for members, health professionals, and internal teams. Engineers work closely with product, move quickly, and own their work from product decisions through production. The Agentic Platform team makes it easier, faster, and safer for Alaners and product teams to build, run, and improve AI agents and workflows. It owns the agents’ runtime environment, including infrastructure, evaluation, observability, and skills lifecycle, as well as generalist products such as Hopper and Agent Studio. The team provides shared tools and infrastructure while product teams and Alaners own their agents, skills, and outcomes. The role involves owning problems end to end, from design through production, with influence over architecture and code quality. The engineer will work with the people who use the products, and be accountable for production reliability, cost, and security. The position can suit either a platform-leaning or product-leaning engineer. Alan uses Python services with FastAPI, async SQLAlchemy and PydanticAI, Temporal, PostgreSQL, MCP, Daytona sandboxes, multiple LLM providers, Terraform on AWS, and React with Vite. Its main backend is a Flask monolith, and teams deploy daily with distributed ownership.
