About The Position

East Middle School is seeking a Full Year Guest Teacher (Building Substitute) for the 2026/27 school year. This position will involve day-to-day assignments within East Middle School, reporting every instructional day. Assignments may include special education aide duties. The selected applicant may need to apply through ESS Midwest if hired. Travel to other TCAPS building locations may be required for additional support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 credit hours from a college/university/community college required for a day-to-day substitute permit through the Michigan Department of Education.
• Must meet minimum requirements for a day-to-day substitute permit.

Responsibilities

• Report every instructional day to East Middle School.
• Fulfill day-to-day assignments within the school.
• Provide support in special education aide assignments when necessary.
• Report to the building administrator for instruction on where support is needed within the building if specific coverage is not needed.
• Travel to other TCAPS building locations to provide additional support, as needed.
