About The Position

DirectViz Solutions (DVS) is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to support its team onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. The role focuses on modernizing legacy ASP.NET WebForms applications by analyzing existing projects, planning migration strategies, and implementing scalable solutions in Blazor. The developer will work on Publication Tracking Software (PTS), a suite of products that includes PTS, Pubs Online, and MEO Online. The position includes full-stack web development, database management, software testing, and documentation. The developer will write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and contribute to software quality, reliability, and maintainability. The role also provides PTS customer support by telephone and email. An active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

Requirements

One to two years of professional experience in .NET and C# development.
Experience or skills in C#, .NET, ASP, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
Familiarity with build tools such as Visual Studio and code management tools such as Git.
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good command of English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
Ability to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours and learn and remember routine tasks.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

Azure DevOps experience.
Experience with Entity Framework, .NET Core, MVC, and XML.
Experience with Telerik Web UI and Telerik Reports.

Responsibilities

Analyze legacy ASP.NET WebForms projects, plan migration strategies, and implement scalable solutions in Blazor.
Perform full-stack web development for Publication Tracking Software products, including PTS, Pubs Online, and MEO Online.
Manage databases and write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity.
Apply software, database, and web application testing methodologies, including manual, automated, regression, and exploratory testing.
Develop, test, and document software and user manuals.
Provide PTS customer support by telephone and email.
Handle multiple priorities and changes in priorities in an evolving environment.
Execute tasks independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
