Full Stack Software Engineer (2 days telework/week, TS/SCI with Polygraph required)
About The Position
Red Alpha is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to support a Customer Service Request Portal (CSRP). The engineer will work with a team to develop and maintain backend services, build responsive frontend applications, design secure APIs, manage databases, and support cloud infrastructure and application deployments. The role calls for full stack development experience and a background in DevOps. Development takes place in a low-side environment, with opportunities to work from home as tasking allows. Core technologies include Java, Spring Boot (3.5 and 4.0), Node.js, Angular 19+, PostgreSQL, AWS, Linux/RHEL, Docker, Git, Maven, Ansible, VS Code, IntelliJ, JIRA, and Confluence. The position is described at junior, mid, senior, and SME levels. Candidates need an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. Compensation includes a projected salary range of $115,000–$220,000 and a benefits package that includes health, life and disability coverage, 401(k), paid time off, professional development, and bonus programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, such as Computer Science or a similar field; four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Junior level: familiarity with software development or engineering; no demonstrated experience is required.
- Mid level: at least 3 years of software development or engineering experience.
- Senior level: at least 8 years of software development or engineering experience.
- SME level: at least 12 years of software development or engineering experience.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency developing and supporting frontend user interfaces using Angular.
- Experience designing, implementing, and documenting secure RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of optimizing and updating PostgreSQL database schemas.
- Experience building and managing containerized application deployments.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
Responsibilities
