About The Position

Red Alpha is seeking an experienced Technical AI Requirements Systems Engineer to support the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system integrating AI-enabled capabilities. The role works closely with customers, systems engineers, software developers, and AI stakeholders to define technical requirements, support the development and delivery of mission-driven software solutions, and validate new application features. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience in Agile development environments, and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and offers one day of telework per week. The role is offered at Mid, Senior, and SME experience levels, with progressively greater systems engineering experience. Compensation includes a projected base salary range of $165,000–$225,000, subject to factors including education, certifications, relevant experience, expertise, and role responsibilities. Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or a related field.
Mid level: 6 or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer; Senior level: 10 or more years; SME level: 14 or more years.
Familiarity with Java or JavaScript frameworks, RESTful microservices, and AWS cloud architecture and deployment.
Experience gathering and documenting customer requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and creating Jira user stories and epics.
Experience conducting functional testing of application features.
Experience serving as a technical liaison and collaborating with systems engineers, software developers, and domain experts.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain AI approaches, implementation tradeoffs, and implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of modern AI/ML advancements and opportunities to integrate emerging capabilities into enterprise applications.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
