About The Position

GDIT is hiring a Software Tester to support customer activities and help provide cybersecurity risk management services. The role contributes to ensuring operational IT capabilities deliver timely, accurate, and secure information. The tester will work with a team of testers and software developers in a dynamic stakeholder environment using AWS and iterative Scrum techniques. The position is onsite at the customer location in Bethesda, Maryland.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of required experience, as stated in the job description.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, information technology, cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Skills in AWS, Scrum, and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with testers and software developers to develop and execute test plans and test cases.
• Test iteratively using Scrum techniques and input from multiple stakeholders.
• Communicate with requirements and software development teams to understand intended functionality and test the system.
• Develop test cases based on requirements.
• Record test case results.
• Perform black-box and white-box testing.
• Create test data for use by the test team.
• Triage defects with software development team members.
• Identify and propose system improvements.
