About The Position

The Full Stack Java/Python Tech Lead - Vice President is a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in an Applications Development or systems analysis role.
• Experience with Java and Python.
• Experience with microservices.
• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience in machine learning.
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
• Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Consistently clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals, and identify and define system enhancements needed to deploy new products and process improvements.
• Resolve high-impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provide expertise and advanced application programming knowledge, ensuring application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Use advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
• Assess risk in business decisions, consider the firm's reputation and the safeguarding of Citigroup, its clients, and assets, drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.
