About The Position

The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Program’s Data Center is seeking a Full Stack Developer who will focus on internal tools related to ARM triennial deliverables for a one-year term. This position resides in the Earth Science Database Engineering and Informatics Group in the Earth System Informatics Section, Environmental Science Division, Biological and Environmental Systems Sciences Directorate, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional software development environment
Proficient in the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, SQL
Experience with Backend Frameworks such as FastAPI
Experience with Frontend Frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
Experience with State Management systems (e.g. Pinia)
Experience with Relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL

Nice To Haves

Experienced with Vuetify UI library, TypeScript, and GraphQL
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.
Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.
