About The Position

Stefanini Group is seeking a Full Stack Developer to work on in-house propulsion applications in the CAD/CAE domain. The role involves understanding requirements, designing and developing solutions, debugging and analyzing problems, testing components and models, and pushing tested modules to a version-controlled environment such as GitHub. The developer will use object-oriented programming concepts and Java and Angular, along with automation testing. The position covers software engineering across application architecture, technology and deployment choices, user-facing interfaces, and back-end services such as APIs and microservices. The developer will work with customers and cross-functional teams, help define software testing practices, improve application performance, support security practices, and evaluate emerging technologies. The job is onsite in Dearborn, Michigan.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 5 years of experience using Java full stack to design scalable web applications with microservices architecture and APIGEE or RESTful APIs.
At least 3 years of experience using Angular to build user-friendly front ends and enable real-time data updates in web application interfaces.
Hands-on experience developing web applications using LLMs, chatbots, RAG, and AI APIs.
At least 5 years of SQL, Oracle database, or PostgreSQL experience.
Google Cloud Platform development and deployment experience, including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and GCS Bucket.
Strong manual and automated functional, integration, and regression testing skills.
Experience writing complex SQL queries for relational databases.
Experience using GitHub or an equivalent source control platform and applying test-driven development practices.
Strong troubleshooting skills for application and performance issues.
Ability to manage changing priorities, work independently, and take initiative when unexpected problems arise.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and Java and Angular programming.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Agile development and Jira.
Experience with development practices such as TDD and BDD.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design.
Experience using static and dynamic analysis to assess code quality.
Experience with AI development.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, and advocate for user-centric solutions.
Design, develop, and deliver software solutions using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
Assess application or service requirements and determine suitable technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
Create high-level software architecture designs that describe application structure, components, and interfaces.
Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, and other cross-functional teams.
Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes.
Improve application performance and optimize applications, including adopting technologies that increase development efficiency.
Develop and maintain back-end applications, including APIs and microservices.
Create user-friendly, interactive interfaces.
Support security practices that safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities, and participate in solutions involving new technology stack layers.
Understand requirements, design and develop solutions, debug and analyze issues, test components and models, and push tested modules to version control.
