Full Stack Developer

Teserac•Santa Clara, CA
•Hybrid

About The Position

Teserac is building Neuron™, an AI-native observability and automation platform for data center power operations. The platform helps operators monitor infrastructure, detect anomalies, correlate events, and receive recommendations. The Full Stack Developer owns features end to end, from telemetry ingestion and time-series storage to operator-facing dashboards. The role is part of a small team with customers in production, where code ships quickly and reliability matters because software operates in facilities with physical consequences. The developer works directly with the Principal Software & Architecture Lead, Product, and Solution Engineering, and is expected to own outcomes independently. The work spans React and TypeScript product interfaces, telemetry ingestion and integrations, PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB development, and production quality and operations. The role is hybrid and based in the Santa Clara office. Visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years building and shipping production software across the stack.
  • Strong Python skills; Django experience is ideal.
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query performance, and production database migrations.
  • Practical time-series experience; TimescaleDB is ideal, and deep experience with another time-series or high-volume streaming store is applicable.
  • Solid React and TypeScript skills, with judgment to keep data-heavy interfaces fast.
  • Experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems, such as task queues, pub/sub, streaming, or WebSockets.
  • Comfort working with AWS; the platform uses ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, and IoT Core.
  • Ability to work independently, define scope from rough requirements, and ship.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial or IoT telemetry experience, such as BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or similar OT data sources.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or SNMP, or vendor BMS APIs.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, including power distribution topology, UPS and PDU behavior, or PUE.
  • Experience building observability or monitoring products, commercial or internal.
  • Early-stage startup experience from Seed through Series B.

Responsibilities

  • Build operator-facing Neuron™ features in React and TypeScript, including real-time dashboards, alerting, alarm and ticket workflows, capacity planning views, and power-flow visualizations.
  • Build interfaces for the AI teammate, including interaction panels, recommendation displays, approval workflows, and audit trails.
  • Keep large, data-dense views fast and responsive across devices.
  • Build and maintain telemetry ingestion from customer sites, including edge collectors, MQTT over AWS IoT Core, queue-based workers, and normalization into a canonical metric model.
  • Develop integration modules for building and power systems, including Siemens Desigo, Schneider PME and EcoStruxure, Niagara, Eaton, and generic BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP sources.
  • Ensure telemetry correctness through point mapping, unit and phase semantics, deduplication, and backfill.
  • Develop the time-series platform using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB, including hypertables, continuous aggregates, compression, and retention.
  • Design schemas and migrations that remain safe as tables grow to billions of rows.
  • Identify and resolve performance problems that emerge at real customer data volumes.
  • Write tested, reviewed code and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across the stack and share on-call responsibilities as the platform scales.
