Full Stack Developer
About The Position
The Full Stack Developer will work with business stakeholders and a development team to design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions. The role contributes to system architecture and helps ensure application performance and scalability. It includes development and maintenance of corporate websites, on-premise applications, and cloud applications, as well as API integrations with REST, GraphQL, AI platforms, ERP systems, data warehouses, and third-party systems. The developer writes clean, efficient, documented code; participates in and conducts code reviews; troubleshoots technical issues and performance bottlenecks; and works within an Agile/Scrum team. The role also involves Power BI reporting and business intelligence tools, technical documentation, planning schedules and timeframes to meet deadlines, and providing technical guidance to junior developers. The position is on-site in Smithton, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with on-call availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of application development experience, including developing applications using Python, SQL, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, NGINX, and IIS on Windows/Linux servers.
- At least 5 years of experience working with SQL, including database design and stored procedures.
- Strong proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Proficiency with Reporting Server and Business Intelligence Studio.
- Proficiency in Power BI reports, data connectors, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while producing consistent, high-quality work.
- Ability to produce effective solutions quickly in a high-pressure environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot or Claude Code.
- Availability for on-call work.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software applications using frontend and backend technologies including JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Python, and Node.js.
- Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and integrations with modern artificial intelligence platforms.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews to support quality, maintainability, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and application requirements.
- Develop and maintain corporate websites, on-premise applications, and cloud applications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay current with technologies, tools, and industry trends to improve development processes and application functionality.
- Use Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Work with Reporting Server and Business Intelligence Studio, and develop Power BI reports using data connectors and Power Query.
- Build and maintain API connectivity between the ERP system, data warehouse, and third-party systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, including assistance with problem-solving and skill development.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering application data sources, layouts, and business logic.
- Create timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.
