About The Position

Oasys International LLC is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to guide a development team in learning new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. The developer will design, build, and modernize secure, scalable, mission-critical applications hosted on AWS, with work spanning application architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation. The team uses Agile methodology with two-week sprints tracked in Jira, documentation in Confluence, and GitHub for source control and CI/CD automation. Infrastructure is managed as code, with an emphasis on cloud and open-source technologies. The role works in a stack-agnostic environment and may involve monolithic, modern, or transitional application architectures. Current technologies include Python, Django, Rails, React, TypeScript, Docker, Postgres, PostGIS, and Snowflake. The role includes evaluating platforms and architectures, researching emerging technologies, establishing development standards, reviewing code, building and maintaining software, and translating business and system requirements into scalable architectures and data models. The developer will help ensure security and information assurance, design RESTful APIs, integrate application components and external services, contribute to distributed-systems decisions, optimize performance and security, and participate in architecture reviews. The position is located in Washington, DC. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Public Trust.
