About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer to support Starbase purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders—including capital projects, facility management, and production—and supply chain team clusters. The procurement organization emphasizes speed, supplier partnerships, and improving cost, quality, and delivery. The role supports purchasing operations, internal customers, buyers’ cost-saving initiatives, and miscellaneous procurement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree.
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to travel to other sites as needed.
• Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders quickly and accurately.
• Ensure suppliers acknowledge purchase orders.
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers.
• Review open order reports and manage deliveries.
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure vendors are paid on time.
• Expedite parts as necessary.
• Provide customer service to SpaceX internal customers.
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives.
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects.
