About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer to support Hawthorne purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders—including capital projects, facility management, and production—and supply chain team clusters. The role supports a fast-moving procurement organization focused on supplier partnerships and improving cost, quality, and delivery. The position is based onsite in Hawthorne, California; remote work is not considered.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or at least 4 years of professional experience in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree.
Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed.
Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

Review purchase requests and issue accurate purchase orders in a timely manner.
Ensure suppliers acknowledge purchase orders.
Review quotes for completeness and alignment with SpaceX terms.
Obtain original promise dates from suppliers.
Review open-order reports and manage deliveries.
Resolve invoice issues and ensure vendors are paid on time.
Expedite parts as necessary.
Provide customer service to SpaceX internal customers.
Support buyers in cost-savings initiatives.
Lead miscellaneous procurement projects.
Lead the supplier onboarding process.
