About The Position

The US LBM Fulfillment Buyer manages and executes procurement of products and materials needed to support fulfillment operations. The role maintains inventory levels, places orders in a timely manner, and helps ensure products are available to meet customer demand. The buyer works with fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics teams to support seamless order processing, manage supplier relationships, and purchase cost-effectively.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in purchasing, inventory control or management, materials input, or warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of the building material industry to support supply chain objectives.
• High degree of interpersonal communication for negotiation.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple purchasing projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage supplier relationships.
• Proficiency with procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for assigned product categories across US LBM divisions and regions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors within the guidance of category strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with location leaders to help prevent stockouts and overstocking.
• Work with location leaders and the fulfillment manager on daily inventory-related matters, invoice inventory discrepancies or variances, delivery information, and product costing.
• Contact suppliers about adjustments, incorrect materials, deliveries, and potential resolutions.
• Manage daily communications with US LBM divisions and markets regarding inventory, shipping information, and inbound inventory tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
