About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer to support purchases in Hawthorne across multiple commodities, stakeholders—including capital projects, facility management, and production—and supply chain team clusters. The role is part of a procurement organization focused on creating value and building supplier partnerships while challenging suppliers on cost, quality, and delivery. The position is onsite in Hawthorne, California; remote work is not considered. Long hours and weekends may be required as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or at least 4 years of professional experience in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree.
Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed.
Must be onsite in Hawthorne, California; remote work is not considered.
Must meet the stated U.S. export-regulation eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Responsibilities

Review purchase requests and issue accurate purchase orders promptly.
Ensure suppliers acknowledge purchase orders.
Review quotes for completeness and alignment with SpaceX terms.
Obtain original promise dates from suppliers.
Review open-order reports and manage deliveries.
Resolve invoice issues and ensure vendors are paid on time.
Expedite parts as necessary.
Provide customer service to internal SpaceX customers.
Support buyers with cost-saving initiatives.
Lead miscellaneous procurement projects.
Lead the supplier onboarding process.
