About The Position

The Fuel Station Manager completes the tasks necessary to sell products available at the fuel station and is responsible for scheduling and reporting for the station. The role provides customer service, supports implementation of fuel station operating policies, manages inventory and deliveries, and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the fuel station. The manager directs fuel station clerks and carries out activities to meet applicable city, state, and local environmental compliance requirements.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work independently and understand and follow instructions.
Ability to train and direct employees.
Access to a reliable vehicle to perform competitor price surveys twice a day.
Ability to provide proof of auto insurance based on division requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as defined by the employer, within the scope of the position and company policy.
Assist in implementing policies for operating fuel stations.
Change signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
Conduct daily stock inventories, write fuel station orders, and check orders for completeness upon arrival.
Receive gas deliveries as needed and record them on the Fuel Delivery sheet.
Maintain cleanliness of the fuel station area.
Perform daily safety inspections of tanks and pumps, including checking gaskets and cover locks.
Pump gasoline for customers when needed.
Transport absorbent material to the drive-up area to absorb and clean spills as needed.
Restock windshield washer fluid in pump-side containers as needed.
Rotate products and remove out-of-date products as needed.
Pick up products in the grocery store and transport them to the fuel station area when needed.
Direct fuel station clerks.
Perform activities necessary to meet city, state, and local environmental compliance requirements, including cleaning the tank area and inspecting the dispenser area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
