About The Position

The Fuel Station Manager completes tasks necessary to sell products available at the fuel station and is responsible for fuel station scheduling and reporting. The role provides customer service, helps implement fuel station operating policies, directs fuel station clerks, and performs operational, inventory, safety, and environmental-compliance activities.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work independently and understand and follow instructions.
Ability to train and direct employees.
Access to a reliable vehicle to perform competitor price surveys twice a day.
Ability to provide proof of auto insurance based on division requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service in accordance with the employer’s standards, the scope of the position, and company policy.
Assist in implementing policies for operating fuel stations.
Change signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
Inventory stock daily, prepare fuel station orders, and check arriving orders for completeness.
Receive gas deliveries as needed and record them on the Fuel Delivery sheet.
Maintain cleanliness of the fuel station area.
Perform daily safety inspections of tanks and pumps, including checking gaskets and cover locks.
Pump gasoline for customers when needed.
Transport absorbent material to the drive-up area and use it to absorb and clean spills as needed.
Restock windshield washer fluid in pump-side containers as needed.
Rotate products and remove out-of-date products as needed.
Pick up products in the grocery store and transport them to the fuel station area as needed.
Direct fuel station clerks.
Perform activities necessary to meet City, State, and Local Environmental Compliance requirements, including cleaning the tank area and spill containers, maintaining fill and vapor recovery caps, and inspecting dispenser-area decals, signage, hoses, breakaways, and nozzles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
