About The Position

The FSQA Technician is part of the QA structure and reports to the QA Supervisor. The role works alongside other QA team members to support operations and ensure customer quality standards are met in accordance with organizational policies and programs. The technician performs production-floor quality and food-safety activities, coordinates laboratory testing, and supports product release after review of critical control point information. The work schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of food safety or quality experience in the food industry.
Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, USDA regulations, and food microbiology.
Experience with food safety audit expectations and requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

HACCP certification preferred.
SQF training preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day production-floor activities assigned by the QA Supervisor and lead, monitoring process controls for food safety and GMP compliance.
Conduct scheduled production quality checks on food quality and safety control points, completing checks on time and maintaining precise documentation.
Coordinate laboratory testing needs and activities, collect samples, and facilitate test-and-hold requirements after results are received.
Perform product release activities after reviewing critical control point information related to cooking and chilling CCPs.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, company and customer expectations concerning raw-material receiving, production processes, process controls, and finished-goods packaging.
Perform other duties as assigned.
