Performs all frozen food responsibilities while working with and reporting to the Grocery Manager. This role involves directing the operation of the frozen food department, including supervising and training personnel. Key duties include maintaining product quality, stocking, rotating, and facing products, discarding outdated or spoiled items, and managing the backroom. The position also assists with ordering, receiving, storing, stocking, inventory control, and building displays. A strong emphasis is placed on providing enthusiastic, safe, friendly, and courteous customer service, including engaging in suggestive selling. The role also supports the Grocery Manager in planning merchandise requirements and special sales needs.
