About The Position

The Frozen Food/Dairy Manager maintains product quality and presentation, supports guest service, and helps meet department retail and gross-profit targets. The role includes receiving and checking product, conditioning and merchandising items for sale, maintaining the sales floor, communicating guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management, and performing other store duties as assigned. The posting also describes work in the produce department, as well as throughout the store, as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Receive product and ensure its quality, freshness, saleability, and delivery-invoice accuracy.
• Condition products and merchandise them for sale.
• Maintain high-quality products on the sales floor.
• Ensure accurate retail pricing and achieve department gross-profit targets.
• Maintain a selling atmosphere conducive to impulse and eye-appeal purchasing.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to management.
• Perform duties in the produce department and throughout the store as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
