About The Position

The Dairy/Frozen Stocker helps maintain guest service and departmental operations in the dairy/frozen food department. The role involves stocking and caring for products, maintaining inventory and sanitation standards, assisting with deliveries and ordering, and performing front-end duties as needed.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of dairy/frozen food operations.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.
May be subject to temperature fluctuations while working in and around the dairy/frozen department.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Stock, rotate, and condition dairy and frozen products on shelves according to company standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Keep overstock in cooler and freezer areas organized, inventoried, rotated, and dated.
Minimize product damage and shrink through inventory control, rotation, and proper handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise delivered to the store.
Order milk, eggs, and other dairy/frozen products to maintain appropriate product levels, rotation, and inventory control.
Maintain organized ordering paperwork and follow stock loss documentation procedures.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in cooler/freezer areas.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
