Frontend Team Lead

The job overview for the Frontend Team Lead position is as follows: We are seeking an experienced Frontend Team Lead to join our team either onsite in Amsterdam or remotely in EMEA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical execution of our Website, Blog, Documentation, and Dashboard. They will primarily focus on developing and maintaining these platforms, ensuring high-quality implementation, performance, and user experience. Additionally, the Frontend Team Lead will lead the transition to the newest technology stack, tackle complex tech challenges, and oversee a variety of projects.

• Make sure features are done right and with high quality

• Implement high-quality animations and interactions
• Pixel-perfect implementation of design
• Improve and build upon our current website, blog, and documentation platforms
• New feature additions and SEO improvements
• Plan and implement technical improvements, such as page loading speed, transition smoothness, bug fixing, and refactors to address technical debt
• Build and maintain our own flexible Design System
• Support best practices for SEO and frontend development
• Contribute to improving engagement and UX on the site to drive higher conversion
• Lead major transition to the newest technology stack
• Hands-on management: spend 80% of time coding and tackling complex tech challenges
• Oversee completely different projects (website, dashboard, documentation)
• Attention to the UX of the website
• Super-responsive design for different screen sizes
• Ensure accessibility for a wide audience
• Ensure global accessibility through CDN
• Optimize website speed
• Implement redirects to correct pages and preserve bookmarked or externally linked content
• Maintain high PageSpeed and LightHouse scores
• Manage dashboard used by customers for account and application management
• Integrate payment providers and SSO with various providers
• Manage moderation and permissions
• Work with React Chat SDK
• Faithfully implement designs and provide feedback
• Stay up to date with latest frontend technologies
• Test own code and commit production-ready code
• Have experience in a management role
• Expert level knowledge of CSS/SCSS and animating interactions
• In-depth knowledge of semantic HTML and React
• Develop responsive/adaptive layouts for multiple browsers and platforms
• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Bonus points for experience with CMS, backend development, ORM and databases, frontend performance optimizations, and maintaining code quality.

• 5+ years of experience as a React developer
• Experience with NextJS and Tailwind CSS
• Passion for great UX and responsive design
• Focus on testing own code and committing production-ready code
• 2+ years in a management role
• Expert level knowledge of CSS/SCSS with proven experience animating interactions
• In-depth knowledge of semantic HTML and React
• Wide knowledge of developing responsive/adaptive layouts for multiple browsers and platforms
• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Ability to grow into the role and provide value to the team
