About The Position

The Front Office Lodge Anchor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Front Office and Reception while delivering a warm, professional and personalised guest experience from arrival through to departure. The successful candidate will combine exceptional guest service with strong administrative skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote luxury lodge environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality, safari lodges or boutique hotels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A warm, confident and professional personality.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with hospitality management systems is advantageous).
  • Knowledge of Benson operating system benificial
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for guest service and hospitality.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and conduct seamless check-ins and departures.
  • Ensure every guest receives a warm, professional and personalised arrival experience.
  • Host guests throughout their stay and assist with any requests.
  • Coordinate special occasions, honeymoon arrangements and guest preferences.
  • Manage daily reception operations.
  • Prepare guest registration documents and indemnities.
  • Process guest payments and check-outs accurately.
  • Coordinate room allocations and guest movements.
  • Liaise with Reservations regarding arrivals, departures and special requests.
  • Prepare daily reports and operational documentation.
  • Maintain accurate guest records.
  • Assist with general lodge administration.
  • Ensure filing systems remain organised and up to date.
  • Assist management with operational administration as required.
  • Prepare and manage daily gate manifests.
  • Coordinate guest arrivals and departures with transfer companies and charter operators.
  • Ensure gate documentation is accurate and submitted timeously.
  • Communicate effectively with security personnel and reserve gates.
  • Maintain accurate stock control of the curio shop.
  • Process sales and reconcile daily takings.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
  • Ensure the shop remains well presented and fully stocked.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Guides, Kitchen and Service departments.
  • Assist with guest hosting during meal services where required.
  • Support the management team with day-to-day lodge operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury safari lodge
