Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Utilizes a multi-line phone system.
  • Processes accounts receivable transactions.
  • Monitors inventory levels of clinical and office supplies.
  • Obtains patient vitals, EKG, and performs phlebotomy.
  • Administers IM injections.
  • Prepares laboratory order forms and obtains patient laboratory results.
  • Assists physicians or mid-level practitioners with patient referrals.
  • Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
  • Motivational counseling/advising skills.
  • Strong multitasking and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a team and corporate structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Medical receptionist experience.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes a multi-line phone system to answer and route incoming calls efficiently.
  • Conducts follow-up calls to patients, ensuring their progress is discussed and concerns are addressed.
  • Verifies insurance information and facilitates insurance-related processes.
  • Provides outstanding service by creating a friendly environment, greeting patients, and maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Processes accounts receivable transactions accurately and securely.
  • Monitors inventory levels of clinical and office supplies.
  • Trains additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.
  • Participates in clinic marketing efforts to enhance profitability and success.
  • Assists with opening and closing procedures.
  • Assists with and oversees daily operations during periods when the Operations Manager is offsite or unavailable.
  • Participates in ongoing training and education to maintain competency and support the implementation of evolving clinical and operational protocols.
  • Adapts to changes in clinic workflows, policies, and procedures to promote operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Contributes to safe, effective, and patient-centered care while performing all responsibilities within the scope of the role and applicable credentials.
