About The Position

Accepting work-study and regular pay applicants. This role involves monitoring and refreshing beverage lines, cleaning and sanitizing tables and other surfaces within the dining area, assisting with support services such as monitoring waste receptacles, and restocking disposables to ensure the smooth flow of a large-scale food services operation. Weekend shifts will be required.

Requirements

Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Ability to lift pans, weighing up to 40#, between production area and carts.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift weighing up to 60# when storing, stocking and gathering prepared products and/or inventory items.
Ability to stand and walk on hard floors for extended hours.
Must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits).
Must be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher).
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must pass all UWSP mandatory trainings along with department specific (food handling) trainings as part of their employment onboarding.

Responsibilities

Monitor and refresh beverage lines.
Clean and sanitize tables and other surfaces within the dining area.
Assist with monitoring waste receptacles.
Restock disposables (napkins, cups, silverware).
Sweep and mop when necessary.
Empty trash and recycling bins as needed.
Clean and break down equipment, wipe down surfaces, cabinets, and tray bar lines at end of shift.
Respond to customer inquiries or problems in a courteous manner.
Follow proper reporting procedures if theft is observed.
Attend mandatory staff meetings.
Complete University Dining Orientation Canvas course and all Mandatory Trainings (Mandated Reporter and Information Security courses found on the My UW website).
Abide by the policies outlined in the University Dining Student Employment Handbook.
Other duties as assigned by Management Team.
