About The Position

As a Front-End Team Member, you help create a smooth, positive checkout experience by completing purchases accurately and interacting with customers in a friendly, efficient manner. Tasks include scanning items, bagging groceries, answering questions, and supporting customers as they complete their purchases. You also help keep the front end organized, clean, and operating consistently throughout the day. Work rotates among checkout transactions, cart retrieval, restocking supplies, and maintaining the checkout area in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older, or 18 years of age or older depending on local or state requirements.
• Complete company cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working indoors and outdoors as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases accurately using cash, card, and digital payments.
• Scan items, verify prices and produce codes, and complete orders accurately.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with questions or checkout needs.
• Handle cash transactions, count change, and balance registers.
• Retrieve carts and restock supplies.
• Keep the checkout area and front end clean, organized, and running consistently.
• Follow company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
• Recognize and address pricing, transaction, or customer service questions.
