About The Position

As a Front-End Team Member, you help create a smooth, positive checkout experience by accurately completing purchases and providing friendly, efficient customer service. Tasks include scanning items, bagging groceries, answering questions, handling transactions, collecting carts, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized, clean checkout area. The work is active and fast-paced, with tasks and customer flow changing throughout the day.

The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors as needed. Employees must follow company policies, register procedures, checkout processes, and applicable laws. Specific responsibilities and duties may vary by store.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old, or 18 years old depending on local or state requirements.
• Complete company cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors as needed.

• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Scan items, apply pricing and produce codes accurately, and complete orders.
• Provide friendly customer assistance and answer questions.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with checkout.
• Collect carts and restock supplies.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and running consistently.
• Handle cash transactions, count change, and balance registers.
• Recognize and address pricing, transaction, or customer service questions.
• Follow company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
