About The Position
Front End Clerks make sure customers have a great experience by greeting customers, ensuring timely and accurate transactions, assisting with bagging, and offering friendly, and caring service. They will ask customers to take part in our monthly donation campaign and sell memberships. Clerks also make sure the department is clean, well-stocked, and looks good. They ensure our products and practices follow all safety rules. Additionally, they help out with tasks in other parts of the store.
Requirements
- Able to meet customer needs by providing excellent, welcoming, and timely service
- Able to be flexible to support the changing needs of our team and store
- Able to effectively communicate with customers and team members; uses active listening, patience, and clear communication to ensure a respectful and professional experience
- Able to take responsibility for creating great customer and team experiences
- Able to show up each day in a timely manner ready to work; shows strong follow-through
- Able to contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and team members; respects people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities
- Basic math skills; ability to timely and correctly perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Nice To Haves
- Cash handling or grocery experience
- Experience in fast paced retail setting
- Direct experience in cash handling; knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, including counting, and verifying transaction amounts
- Communicates in more than one language
Responsibilities
