About The Position

Savannah Dental is looking for an exceptional bilingual dental assistant to join our team. We're not just looking for another assistant—we're looking for someone who fits our culture. This is a unique cross-trained role that allows you to work both clinically and at the front desk. Approximately 3 days assisting / 2 days front office. We are looking for an office professional with a friendly attitude and strong organizational skills to serve as our front desk receptionist. In this position, you will greet patients entering the office and create the ultimate patient experience while they wait to see the Dentist or Hygienist. In addition, you’ll be responsible for answering and managing the phones, scheduling the Doctor(s) and Hygienist schedule of patients. The office is fast paced and requires multitasking. Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced PPO dental practice
  • Cross-trained in both assisting and front office preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mindset
  • Organized, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Comfortable multitasking and thriving in a busy environment
  • Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with your co-workers and patients
  • Driven personality to want to strive to be the best in your profession and provide the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Verify PPO insurance benefits
  • Schedule appointments and manage recalls
  • Follow up on pending treatment
  • Coordinate and track lab cases
  • Provide outstanding customer service from check-in through check-out
  • Act as a patient concierge by keeping communication flowing between the front office, hygiene, and clinical teams
  • Chairside assisting for restorative procedures
  • Digital X-rays
  • iTero scanning
  • Invisalign assisting
  • Sterilization and infection control
  • Room setup and breakdown
  • Assist with same-day treatment and support the clinical team as needed
  • Greet patients entering the office and create the ultimate patient experience while they wait to see the Dentist or Hygienist
  • Answering and managing the phones
  • Scheduling the Doctor(s) and Hygienist schedule of patients
