About The Position

The Front Desk Supervisor is accountable for all aspects of the front desk during their scheduled supervised shift and will perform the responsibility of Manager on Duty in rotation with the Resort Services Supervisor. This role involves driving a company vehicle, ensuring guest satisfaction, maximizing revenues, and maintaining professional guest relations. The supervisor is also responsible for training, supervising, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures for Front Desk Employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.
  • Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy.
  • Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the daily efficiency of the Front Desk as it pertains to the shift being supervised.
  • Maximize revenues by ensuring guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Respond and assist all guest concerns immediately whenever possible before the guest leaves the Resort.
  • Establish guest relations by being familiar with all resort outlets and special events.
  • Be familiar with all the special duties and assignments of the other front desk supervisors and all aspects of the other shifts.
  • Ensure interaction with guests is professional and ethical at all times.
  • Immediately report to the Front Office Manager any attempt by outside vendors to solicit through the Front Desk.
  • Be a team player within the Front Office, to foster the same attitude with employees by leadership and example.
  • Ensure that all Front Desk Employees under the scheduled supervised shift adhere to Pinehurst Resort policies and procedures.
  • Assume other areas of responsibilities as delegated by the Front Office Manager.
  • Constantly maintain training, supervision, grooming and conduct standards to person within the scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure all Employees are in appropriate uniform and attire for their scheduled shift.
  • Never accept from an outside vendor or distribute for an outside vendor any passes, discount coupons or other collateral.
  • Never accept any form of compensation from an outside vendor in return for recommending or promoting their business.
  • Insure that the bank is secured and is not left unattended or open for access by others who are not approved to access the bank.
  • Accurately count cash received and disbursed and for making accurate change when needed.
  • Directly supervises 5 to 10 employees in the Front Office Department.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
