About The Position

America’s Best is part of National Vision, an optical retailer with more than 1,000 stores. Receptionists are the face of the store and help create a welcoming customer experience. They maintain organized patient records, support smooth patient scheduling and store operations, and provide prompt, courteous service in person and by phone. The stores are closed on Sundays. This part-time role ensures high-quality customer service while following safety protocols. The Receptionist helps manage customer flow, phone calls, appointments, patient files, order updates, mail, deliveries, and office supplies, and participates in mandatory communication meetings.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or in a similar role.
0–2 years of related experience or training.
Experience handling multiple phone lines.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality customer service while following all safety protocols.
Ensure a smooth flow of customers through the store.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls in accordance with National Vision protocol.
Process and understand managed care plans, obtaining document information from insurance companies as needed.
Provide customers with basic and accurate information.
Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits, and classes.
File patient records daily and pull patient files for the next day's appointments.
Check order status and notify customers when orders arrive or when there are delays.
Keep the reception area tidy and presentable, with necessary materials available.
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries, and maintain office-supply inventory.
Participate in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings.
