Requirements

1+ years of customer service or secretarial experience
Ability to treat coworkers and customers respectfully, pleasantly, and professionally
Ability to independently recognize and respond to others' needs
Ability to use general office equipment, including computers, copiers, phone systems, etc.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license
Willingness to complete general errands, light physical work, and travel out of the office as needed

Responsibilities

Handle customer service responsibilities and general administrative functions for the team (filing, data entry, faxing, ordering office supplies, and more).
Communicate with clients, answer questions, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
Verify Medicaid coverage in our system and call insurance companies as needed.
Obtain proof of income from the clients, determine their financial eligibility, identify their sliding fee co-pay, and collect payments.
Cover shifts at other offices when needed.
Help out with additional responsibilities as assigned (updating staff mailboxes, creating no-show letters, checking out vehicles, scanning medical documents, and more).
