About The Position

The City of Cedar Hill is seeking an individual committed to its values of High Standards, Teamwork, Premier Customer Service, Family Oriented, and Fun to join their team as a part-time Front Desk Customer Service Attendant at the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center. This position is responsible for assisting patrons at the front desk, handling the sale of memberships, passes, and registrations, and assisting with facility rentals. The role requires working various shifts, Monday-Friday between 5:30 am and 9:30 pm, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
  • Six month to one year experience in a customer service related position or recreational environment required.
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License required.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain within six months: CPR Certification, First Aid, and AED Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides premier customer service to Recreation Center patrons by performing registration procedures, equipment check out, and handling telephone calls.
  • Plans, organizes and directs various recreation and leisure activities and special events.
  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and collects fees to ensure the successful operation of recreational programs.
  • Performs light janitorial and maintenance duties.
  • Sets up and tear down rooms for activities.
  • Performs minor first aid assistance to Recreation Center patrons, as needed.
  • Assists in other areas of the Recreation Center, as needed.
  • Regular attendance is required.
