About The Position

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center - Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Front Desk Coordinator II who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. This role involves managing patient appointments, check-in/check-out processes, insurance verification, payment collection, and assisting providers with clerical duties within an outpatient wellness clinic setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct medical office administrative assistant/receptionist/coordinator experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred, to provide coverage for the medical assistant as needed, including screening patients with depression screening, pain management assessment, and taking vitals.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Check patients in and out using electronic medical record
  • Verify insurance
  • Collect account balances
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Deliver messages to providers promptly
  • Assist providers with clerical duties such as scanning and faxing
  • Other duties as assigned
