About The Position

AHC SGMC Behavioral Health seeks to hire a Referrals Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Referrals Coordinator you will receive and review referrals and requests for new patients at the OWC. You will outreach new patients and their families/representatives to discuss recommended services, gather demographic and insurance information, obtain necessary clinical information, explain OWC processes and procedures, and schedule patient for intake as appropriate. You will also obtain necessary insurance authorizations for new OWC patients and communicate and collaborate professionally with colleagues and referral partners to close the loop on new patient requests and referrals. Additionally, you will serve as back-up coverage as needed for OWC front desk team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 6+ months of professional experience in a healthcare setting required
  • behavioral health setting preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher preferred

Responsibilities
