About The Position

The Front Desk Assistant position is a student hourly role within the Parkside Academic Resource Center (PARC). This role involves opening and/or closing the center, greeting students, faculty, and staff, answering the telephone, assisting with appointment scheduling, and making appropriate referrals to other campus resources. The assistant must follow all PARC procedures and policies, report critical issues to the PARC Manager, and attend scheduled meetings. The position requires working 4-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Open and/or close the PARC
  • Greet and welcome students/faculty/staff as they enter PARC
  • Answer telephone and check/follow up to voicemail
  • Assist in making appointments
  • Make appropriate referrals to other campus resources
  • Follow all procedures and policies set by the Parkside Academic Resource Center
  • Report immediately to the PARC Manager when critical issue(s) arises
  • Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled
  • Work 4 – 20 hours per week
