About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for hotel guests and helps create a welcoming, efficient experience from arrival through departure. The role handles check-ins and checkouts, reservations, guest inquiries and complaints, and financial transactions while providing personalized service and local knowledge. The agent also performs administrative duties that contribute to hotel operations. This position is at The Lofton Hotel, a 251-room property in downtown Minneapolis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a guest or customer service position; hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to work under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Prior guest or customer service experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
