The core mission of the Front Desk Agent is to ensure all guests enjoy a friendly arrival and departure experience, while addressing all needs and requests in a timely, efficient and hospitable manner. This role is crucial in maintaining the MCR standard of providing clean, friendly, well-organized, and safe hotels for guests. The Front Desk Agent is expected to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores, handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency, and possess strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities. They must also be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel, understand relevant technology, and answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting. Cleanliness is a team effort, and all team members may be expected to pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed. Operational checklists must be completed accurately and on time, and shift handover reports must be accurate for effective communication. Team members must wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, and wear a nametag while smiling at all times. Communication between team members should be clear, honest, and professional, and a 'can-do' attitude is essential, with a willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles to meet business and guest needs. Collaboration is key to creating a welcoming environment for guests and an effective, positive workplace.
