About The Position

The Front Desk Agent joins the Front Desk team at the Inn at Perry Cabin, a luxury resort in St. Michaels, Maryland. The role creates memorable first impressions, checks in and registers guests, and serves as a knowledgeable resource about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area. The agent provides engaging, attentive service, helps resolve guest concerns, and supports a positive guest experience. This role offers an opportunity to grow a hospitality career at a world-class property.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A strong desire to make an impact on other people.
• An outgoing and engaging personality.
• Computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and taking a sincere interest in them.
• Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
• Help resolve problems and “WOW” guests through service recovery when things aren’t quite right.
• Promote and sell special hotel programs.
• Interact professionally with hotel and resort staff, providing other departments with necessary information.
• Know all emergency procedures and policies.
• Maintain the house bank.
• Communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty.
• Follow procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
• Assist other departments as needed.
