About The Position

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a fast-casual restaurant company serving authentic Hawaiian Plate Lunches and island specialties. The company prepares food from scratch daily and grills it fresh to order. It has more than 120 locations across California and Arizona and seeks to bring Hawaiian culture and the “Aloha” spirit to its restaurants through exceptional service and an inviting atmosphere.

As a Front Crew member, you will help ensure a positive dining experience by providing customer service, taking and processing orders, operating the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role may be part-time or full-time.

The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, and work in a kitchen environment that may be hot and noisy, as well as in an extremely cold walk-in refrigerated area. Employees work around kitchen equipment and tools and may perform cleaning tasks involving cleaning solutions.

Requirements

• Food Handler Card required by the state or local health department.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient English written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health codes and safety procedures.
• Understand and comply with company policies and procedures and the Front Crew Training Guideline.
• Greet customers, provide customer service, and assist customers with their orders.
• Promote marketing promotions and new product items to customers.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, handle payments, and serve food to customers.
• Perform cashier closing and daily closing procedures at the end of each shift or day.
• Maintain store cleanliness by performing daily and weekly cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
