About The Position

The Fresh Cut Clerk maintains the fresh cut produce department so guests can find fresh fruit and vegetable products and platters. The role includes observing sales-floor and cooler conditions, producing and replenishing products, providing guest service, maintaining department cleanliness, and meeting quality and food-safety standards. The position may be part-time or full-time; this posting is for a part-time role in New London, Wisconsin.

Requirements

• Effectively communicate with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates, using strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box-cutter safety.
• Be able to use power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
• Stand in place for long periods; work in a cooler and walk throughout the store; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly; and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Have full range of upper-body motion to lift product and functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
• Lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate fresh cut department stock by monitoring sales-floor and cooler conditions, producing products, and stocking and replenishing as needed.
• Provide outstanding service to guests, help them locate products, and address concerns to resolve service or product issues.
• Organize and sanitize work areas, shelving, and sales floors as needed.
• Meet quality standards, maintain accurate food-safety logs, and meet quantity expectations by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
