About The Position

The Fresh Cut Clerk maintains the fresh cut produce department so guests can find freshly cut fruit and vegetable products and platters. The role supports guest service, product availability, cleanliness, quality, and food safety in a fast-paced retail environment. The position may be part-time or full-time; this posting is for a part-time role in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The Fresh Cut Clerk reports to the Produce Department Manager or Fresh Cut Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates, using strong written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to use power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
• Ability to stand in place for long periods, walk throughout the store, and work in a cooler.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly, and to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Full range of upper-body motion to lift products; ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate fresh cut stock levels by observing sales-floor and cooler conditions, producing products, and stocking and replenishing as needed.
• Provide outstanding guest service, help guests find products, and address concerns to resolve service or product issues.
• Organize and sanitize work areas, shelving, and sales floors to maintain department cleanliness.
• Meet quality standards, maintain accurate food safety logs, and meet quantity expectations by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Attend work regularly and on time according to the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
